James Smelcher's Obituary
Mr. James Smelcher, age 74 of Oxford, passed away on May 12, 2024, at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Alford; and parents, James and Gladys Smelcher.
James is survived by his children, James Smelcher, Jr. (Terra), Mary Jane Mickey (Jessie), Brandy Smelcher (Stan) and Kayla Mitchell; siblings, Rosa Keith, Shirley Bowman, Martha Allen and Willie Williamson; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; and special friend, Ms. Carolyn.
James had a kind heart and was willing to help anyone in need. He loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing. He will be missed by all who knew him.
