James Leslie Moody's Obituary
James Moody, 61, of White Plains, Alabama, passed away on November 30, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. James was born in Anniston, AL and his heart will remain among the people and natural beauty of this community.
James was a hardworking man who spent his career as a truck driver, a job he took great pride in and performed with dedication. When he wasn’t on the road, he could be found working on cars, riding dirt roads, or simply enjoying the moments that mattered most—being a father and a grandfather. His hands were always busy, his heart always full, and his presence brought comfort to those who knew him.
James is survived by his mother, Ann, and his siblings Regina, Ronnie, David, Dudley, and Donna. He has left behind a legacy to include his wife, Wendy, his three sons and their families: Dalton (Jessica), Daniel (Haili), and Landon. He was a proud grandfather to Tristan, Emma, Brooklyn, Westin, and RJ, each of whom brought him
immense joy.
James will be remembered for his big heart, his steady spirit, and the love he carried for his family. His legacy lives on in the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the lives he touched.
In lieu of flowers please send remembrance and honor gifts to Challenge Air for Kids at https://challengeair.com. James will be forever grateful for the beautiful memories this organization has given Landon.
