James Arthur McDermott's Obituary
James Arthur McDermott, 77 of Heflin, Alabama passed away on 03/21/20 from complications of a stroke suffered earlier this month.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years Marilyn McDermott in 2012.
He was survived by his sister Rosalie Johnson, and brother Floyd McDermott and Nina, his 4 children Kelly McDermott Keenan, Raven McDermott Rowland, Charles McDermott and his wife Jana, and Michael McDermott and his wife Susan, his 10 grandchildren Jacob Keenan, Brenna Keenan, Erika McDermott, Konnor McDermott, Kaden McDermott, Logan Avery, Lucas Avery, Kaleigh McDermott, Joseph McDermott and Alana Rowland.
James worked hard all his life to provide the best he could for his family. He was a Christian with a strong personal relationship with Jesus. His proudest achievement as a father was knowing all of his children had accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior.
