James "Clayton" Lands' Obituary
James “Clayton” Lands, 62, of Scottsboro, Alabama, left his earthly broken body on Sunday, June 25th, 2023 , after a lengthy struggle with his health.
James was born on August 8, 1960 and lived in Alabama as well as Pennsylvania. He spent many years as an over the road truck driver and enjoyed seeing many places throughout the country. He enjoyed music, good “tasty” food, and time spent with family and friends. He was a big WWE fan with a fun sense of humor.
James is survived by his former wife, Sharai Vasquez of Maryland, as well as their children:
Angela McConnell of NC, Joe McConnell of PA, Marissa Lands of PA, Brianna Lands of NC, Jesse Lands in the US Army, Kevin Lands of AL, Joshua Lands of MD, Christian Lands of MD, John Lands of MD, Andrew Lands of MD, Daniel Lands of MD, and Kaitlynn of MD.
He is also survived by his grandchildren whom he adored:
Hunter Frey, Liam Frey, Alina Albright and Austin Albright of NC, Brydon McConnell, Autumn McConnell and Uriah Arroyo of PA, And Kinzlee Lands of MD.
James also leaves behind his brother Ronnie Murphy, a dear sister-in-law Kim Cartwright, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins to include Lee Murphy and Candice Tilley. And a special little boy, Travis Bartnik. He also leaves behind his beloved pet, Hershey.
James was preceded in death by his father Tol Lands, his mother, Myrtle Cartwright (2011), and his brothers, Terry Lands ( 2019) and Freddie Cartwright (2021).
James chose to be an organ donor and then to have his remains cremated. He will be interred in with his mother at Pine Haven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood, Alabama for his final resting place.
He was loved and will be greatly missed. He is finally at peace.
