Jackie Neil Brown Sr., age 83, of Albertville, Alabama, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, January 30, 2026.
Jackie was born on January 10, 1943, in Birmingham, Alabama. He grew up in Douglas, Alabama, and graduated from Douglas High School in 1961. He later earned his degree from Jacksonville State University in 1966.
Jack was an avid golfer and a longtime member of the Albertville Country Club and Big Spring Lake Golf Club. He greatly enjoyed the game and the friendships that came with it.
He is survived by his brother, James L. (Linda) Brown of Maryville, Tennessee; granddaughters Casey Brown of Suwanee, Georgia, and Jenna Brown (Adam) Collins of Athens, Georgia; daughter-in-law Vanessa Elrod Brown of Suwanee, Georgia; nephew Jamie M. Brown of Asheville, North Carolina; and niece Robin Brown (Brent) Tipton of Boaz, Alabama.
Jackie was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard J. Brown and Vernell Lester Brown of Douglas, Alabama; his son, Jackie Neil Brown Jr. of Suwanee, Georgia; and his daughter, Jacqueline Dawn Brown Cook of Albertville, Alabama.
At Jack’s request, no services will be held.
