Jack Dewitt Batey's Obituary
A Celebration of Life Service for Jack Dewitt Batey, 85 of Oxford, will be announced.
Jack loved Alabama football, NASCAR, Travel Channel and his Westerns! He also loved “his boys” Mozart, Tripod, Einstein and Bobbob. He was retired from Union Foundry and The City of Oxford. He loved to stay busy and loved his family.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Carolyn Batey; son, Robert “Bobby” Batey; mother, Emma Evans Batey; father, George Batey; brothers, Jesse, Felix and George; and sisters, Mae, Nova and Geneva.
He is survived by his children, Teri Reid and Pam Brown; Levi Batey and Kara Batey; and 5 grandchildren.
