Gregory Alan Taliaferro's Obituary
Gregory “Alan” Taliaferro, age 58, passed away peacefully at his home in Jacksonville, Alabama, on December 31, 2025. He was born on August 3, 1967.
Alan was a loving, protective, and hardworking man who devoted his life to his family. He was known for his strong work ethic and spent many years employed at Honda Manufacturing of Alabama, where he was proud of the work he did and the people he worked alongside.
He had a deep love for Alabama football and the outdoors, finding peace and joy in nature. Whether cheering on his team or spending time outside, those moments reflected his appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.
Above all else, Alan was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His love for his family was unconditional, and he took great pride in being a protector and provider. His strength, guidance, and steady presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph “Leon” Spears.
He is survived by his mother, Lynda Spears; his wife, Traci Taliaferro; his daughters, Tasha (Craig) Thomas, Ashley (David) Reynolds, Amanda Taliaferro, and Allison Luker; his granddaughters, Lexi Thomas, Khloe Thomas, Laci Reynolds, Abigail Reynolds, Rachael Morris, and Abigail Morris; and his brothers, Thomas Carthel Parris and Phillip Taliaferro.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date and will be announced by the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in his memory.
