I will never forget the first time I met Harlan. I was working the Jacksonville Wal-Mart, it was his first day there. It was St. Patrick's day. I was going around with a green marker, putting a green mark on people who had not wore green that day. He had on a green shirt, and he laughed at the surprised look I had. He was a friend , and even after he retired, he did not forget those he had made friends with. Rest well Harlan. My prayers for the family.
I truly loved my Uncle Harlan. He bought me my first electric guitar and for that I will always be grateful. When he was young, he was one cool dude. He always reminded me of the actor Paul Newman. Family, I know what a loss this is for you and all of us that loved him so. I am praying for all of you and love you each and everyone.
