Felisia B. Woodward's Obituary
Felisia B. Woodward, age 59, of Oxford, Alabama, passed away on May 5, 2026. Born on January 29, 1967, to Gene and Sandra Brunson, Felisia lived a life centered around love, family, and kindness.
A 1985 graduate of Wellborn High School, Felisia spent much of her career working in office administration and most recently worked in civilian marksmanship. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend whose generosity and caring spirit touched countless lives.
Felisia found joy in simple moments spent with the people she loved most. She especially loved going to the river with family, riding pontoon boats, sunbathing, celebrating holidays, and cheering on Auburn football. Her favorite color was yellow, a fitting reflection of the warmth and brightness she brought to those around her. She was known for being kind, intelligent, and giving, and her family was always the center of her world.
Though her passing leaves a tremendous void, her family finds comfort in knowing she is now in a better place and free from pain.
She is survived by her loving husband, Doug Woodward; her son, Chase Woodward; sisters, Janet Edwards and Dauphne (Travis) Talley; nephews, Brandon (Deidre) Slick and Austin Patterson; niece, Morgan Patterson; best friend, Veronica “BayBay” Gilliam; and many other extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory always.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Sandra Brunson, and her son, Brian Woodward.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at the chapel at Cremation Services of East Alabama beginning at 12:00 p.m., with a memorial service to follow.
The family would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and physicians in the ICU at Regional Medical Center for the kindness, compassion, and comfort they provided during such a difficult time.
