Elsie Marie Marinez's Obituary
Elsie Marie Martinez, age 66, of Talladega, Alabama, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025, at Baptist Health Citizens Hospital.
Born on September 27, 1958, Elsie was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose presence touched the lives of many. She was known for her strong spirit, warm heart, and deep devotion to her family.
Elsie is preceded in death by her parents, Frances and Dolan Goins; her brothers, James Goins and Vearl Goins; her sister, Sharon Rosser; and her brother-in-law, Wayne Bridges.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories in the hearts of those who survive her: her son, Richard Wilson; her daughter, Tina Waite (Brett); her brother, Kenneth Goins (Aimee); and her sisters, Connie Bridges, Rhonda McCory (John), and Barbara Cheesman.
Elsie was a proud grandmother to Frances Owen (Bullet), Jason Barron, Ashley Barron (Nick Saffold), and Gregory Bassett (Jessica). Her joy multiplied with the arrival of her thirteen great-grandchildren: Blakelynn, Marcus, Mackenzie, Zyler, Sarentyna, Elayna, Lucian, Dexter, Lilah, Lana, Leigha, Haisleigh, and Lilly.
Elsie will be remembered for her laughter, resilience, and the unwavering love she showed to her family throughout her life.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date by the family.
