Elsie Hill Jeffers' Obituary
Elsie Hill Jeffers peacefully passed from this life on September 18th, 2025 at Piedmont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She lived a life that modeled Jesus, and was a prime example of a true Proverbs 31 woman.
She loved planting & tending to flowers, buying odds and ends at the dollar store, reading her Bible, studying prophecies, and keeping up with the news.
She will be remembered by her grandchildren for their weekly Friday spend the night parties as kids, consisting of scary movies and lots of snacks, and where they never heard the word “no”
She lived a life of strength & fight, but always came out on top. She beat breast cancer in 1999 after a battle & now has won her battle again, against sarcomatoid carcinoma, but this time she got her Heavenly healing, that she has longed for.
There to welcome her into Heaven were her parents Martin Lot & Lula Mae Hill, sisters Billie Joyce Parris & Modean Murphy & her baby brother Langford Hill. What a reunion that was, MawMaw was finally home with her family.
Left to remember her is her only son, Mark & his wife Katrina. Grandchildren Jonathan Jeffers & Emily (Gus) Johnson. Zach (Gina) Seltzer & Andrew Seltzer. Her pride & joy were her great grands: Bryson, who she always called her “special buddy,” Coy, and Allie, Sylvia & Theo Seltzer.
If you spent any amount of time with Mawmaw, you would quickly see how much she loved & adored all of her family.
We appreciate all the love & care that Piedmont Health & Rehabilitation gave MawMaw during her stay, as well as SouthernCare New Beacon Hospice.
At MawMaw’s lifelong request; she will be cremated & the family will have a private graveside service for her at a later date.
Psalms 55:6 “and I said, oh that I had wings like a dove, for then I would fly away and be at rest”
