Edna W. Walker's Obituary
Edna Faye White Walker, 72, of Oxford, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 12, 2019. Edna was born to Woodie Pace White and Pauline Wallace White on June 17, 1947, in Talladega, Alabama.
She was a member of Clay County High School Class of 1963 and attended Mount Zion Primitive Baptist Church in Ashland, AL.
Edna is survived by her 2 children: Clanton Jason Walker and Amy Melissa Walker; and by 2 grandchildren: Christina Danielle Walker and Brock McClendon Walker. She is also survived by her Step Mother: Louise White; her brother: LTC USAF/ALANG Ret. Woodie Pace White, Jr. (Spouse, Brenda R White); step brother Lester Berry; and step sister Donna Harmen.
Edna retired after 47 years as a Media Specialist from Clay County High School in Ashland, AL and Georgia School for the Deaf in Cave Spring, GA. She was also employed with Alabama School for the Deaf in Talladega, AL as the Media Specialist/Librarian Dept. Head before CCHS. She enjoyed interacting with the students and was so thankful for the many friendships she developed with coworkers.
Edna was an amazing Mother, Sister, and friend. We will miss her dearly!
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, November 23rd at Coldwater Baptist Church, 4440 Airport Road, Oxford, Alabama 36203.
