Dorothy Hutchins Hansard, age 75, of Piedmont, Alabama, passed away on April 5, 2026, in Jacksonville, Alabama.
Mrs. Hansard was an avid reader and enjoyed observing hummingbirds. Her professional career included positions at Morgans Grocery in Piedmont, Jacksonville Building Supply from 1994 to 2006, and Piedmont Hardware & Lumber, where she retired in 2015. She was a dedicated member of Lebanon Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Arnold Hansard of Piedmont; daughters, Jennifer Ballew of Piedmont and Jessica (Labron) Nabors of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Ashley Ballew of Piedmont, Kailey Ballew of Talladega, and Caitlin Roland of Jacksonville; and brother, Johnny (Lanelle) Hutchins of Texas.
Mrs. Hansard was preceded in death by her parents, Walt and Ioma Hutchins, and her sister, Irene Wilson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at The Magnolia House in White Plains, with visitation scheduled from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
