Done Lee Layton Jr's Obituary
Done Lee Layton, Jr., age 60, of Anniston, Alabama, passed away peacefully at his home on May 31, 2026.
Born on December 17, 1965, to Done and Barbara Layton, Done spent much of his life doing what he loved most - working on automobiles. A skilled mechanic, he dedicated many years of service to both Midas and Dodge, earning the respect of coworkers and customers alike through his hard work and knowledge. He was also a proud member of the Masonic Lodge.
When he wasn't under the hood of a car, Done could often be found watching races, enjoying time with family, and making memories with those he loved. His greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren, who held a special place in his heart.
He is survived by his children, Sandra (Christian) Allen and Patrick Layton (Stacy Roberts); his grandchildren, Joshua Fullbright, Dally Allen, Sylas Allen, and E.J. Allen; his brother, Jason Layton; his sister, Beverly Grey; his honorary granddaughter CayLen Miller; and the children of Stacy Roberts as well as their children who were also like honorary grandchildren to Done.
Done was preceded in death by his parents, Done and Barbara Layton.
He will be remembered for his love of family, his passion for automobiles, and the many memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him. His presence will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
