Derrick Ferrell's Obituary
Mr. Derrick Ray Ferrell, 52, of Talladega, Alabama passed away on Monday October 13,
2025.
He was a loving father and grandparent. Derrick Ferrell, also known as DRay, was
known to many who would consider him a friend. In some cases, their best friend, who
was always ready for a good time. To laugh and have fun around a simple fire. Who
loved so deeply that he would often take the shirt off his back to help those he
considered friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his father Jack Ray Ferrell, Shirley Ann Ferrell, Mother,
and Warren Ferrell, brother.
He is survived by two sons Dylan Ferrell (Andrea), Dalton Ferrell (Emily), and one
grandson Carter Ray Ferrell. Another surviving family lifelong cousin who is considered
a close friend Dana Langley.
Derrick was a loving grandparent and father who would have done anything for his sons
and grandson. He was always down to riding the mountains with friends and family.
Someone who others could rely on when their trucks were broken down and needed
help. He was always the person that most could rely on in times of need. Derrick was
and will always be loved very deeply by his sons and there was no denying the love that
was shared with his grandchild, Carter Ray Ferrell. His legacy will always be
remembered. He will be deeply missed by those who knew him as a father, cousin, and
friend.
