Deborah Jane McClintock's Obituary
Deborah Jane McClintock of Oxford, Alabama and Largo, Florida passed away on August 26, 2021 at the Regional Medical Center in Anniston, AL after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her husband Stephen Archer and her parents, Willie Neal McClintock and Gertrude Inez Gurley McClintock. Debbie was born on January 4, 1953 in Anniston and lived in Eulaton before moving to Florida in 1961.
Debbie graduated from Cocoa Beach High School where she was a varsity cheerleader. She received her BA from Florida State University and was President of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. She did post graduate work at FSU before joining the Federal Aviation Administration in Tallahassee. Debbie became an instructor and a supervisor while working at several airports including New Orleans, Lake Charles, Louisiana. and Clearwater, Florida. She was a long time member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and volunteered many years at the Sun & Fun Fly In at Lakeland, Florida. After retirement, Debbie enjoyed working part-time for Alabama State Parks at Cheaha State Park.
Debbie is survived by her Brother, Darius McClintock and his wife Gail of Mesa, Arizona and many cousins throughout the South and Western United States.
