Daniel Wayne Tyler's Obituary
On Friday, January 22, 2021, Daniel Wayne Tyler, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away at age 60, just a few days before his 61st birthday on January 27, 1960. Dan Tyler was born to Dan and Connie Tyler.
He was a graduate and football player of Anniston High school. He studied at JSU and enjoyed playing softball with his best friends until 2018.
On August 15,1989 he married Jeri Tyler. They raised a son, Shannon Arrowood, 2 daughters, Ashley Tyler and Christy Benitez, and their grandson, Mason Munn. They have 6 grandchildren, Tyler Benitez, Samantha, Brittney, Emily and Pyper Arrowood, and 3 great-grandchildren Emberli Humphries, Graison and Lydia Horton.
Dan was the furniture man. His passion was fishing, spending time with family and friends at Lake Gerald, around the pool, on vacations, during holidays, and playing softball. He was a big fan of the Braves and Alabama football. He was an avid music lover and a collector of Elvis and The Beatles. He was known for his quick wit and fantastic sense of humor.
Dan was preceded in death by his father, mother, daughter and sister. He is survived by his wife, Jeri Tyler, sister, Linda Waites, 2 children, 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
His Memorial Service will be held this spring at Lake Gerald in Delta, Alabama. Flowers and condolences may be sent to 357 Anna Mattison Drive, Oxford, AL 36203.
