Christopher Allen Cunningham's Obituary
Christopher Allen Cunningham of Weaver AL passed away on June 11, 2026
following an extended illness with family at his side.
Chris was born in Jacksonville FL on January 14, 1969 to E. Allen and Debi Lienau Cunningham. As a military family member he grew up in Germany, North Carolina, Kansas, and finally in Alabama where he graduated from Weaver High School and Jacksonville State University. He was a member of Kappa Sig fraternity.
Chris’ early love of playing and following sports led to his career as a teacher and
coach in Wayne County GA before moving into his life-long dream of becoming an
Assistant Golf Professional.
Chris is survived by his precious wife Kristi Clark Cunningham, step-daughter
Maggie Cox (Cameron), grandson Kellum Cox, mother Debi, Aunt Anne Cunningham
English (Bob), Aunt Janice Meadows (Dave), Uncle Alan Lienau (Sally Love Connally)
and many cousins who were more like siblings. He was pre-deceased by his father, E.
Allen Cunningham, his grandparents and his aunt and uncle, Dianne and Jack Howard and his best friend, Brian Law (Lissy).
Chris’ family extends their sincere thanks to Amedisys Home Health of Anniston
and SouthernCare New Beacon hospice for their kindness and help during this difficult
time.
A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. If you have a
