Chris was the sweetest little boy and gave the best bear hugs to all of 5West staff when his mom Evelyn would bring him by to see everyone, he carried his gentle spirit on as a Registered Nurse, he loved relentless and was loved by everyone at RMC and Noland Hospital (inside RMC). He helped people who were less fortunate. He gave up bedside Nursing to continue caring for his father and brother and did it well. He loved his family, neices , nephew, and his pinbull Tyson who now watches over his mom, brother, and nephew. Tyson is also grieving his loss as well as everyone who knew Chris. RIP Chris, we will always miss your kind spirit. Family friend of 42 years and 5West family. Becky McWilliams
I’ve known Chris for 37 years. We went to school together, church together, everything. I have more memories than I can possibly relate! In 2014 my dad had a massive aortic aneurysm. We were told he wasn’t going to survive surgery. Miraculously, he did. But it wasn’t until I found out that Chris was my dad’s nurse and was going to be taking care of him after surgery that the worry and fear left me. Knowing that Chris - who I’ve known my whole life, who I trust with my whole heart - was there with dad was a weight off my shoulders. Chris was so smart and so funny. He loved his friends and family, was loyal to a fault, and could always be counted on in times of need. Chris was the kind of friend that felt like coming home, even if you hadn’t seen him for years. Now that he’s gone, there’s an empty space among our friends that can never be filled. We’ll all miss you, and we’ll do our best to keep your light and laughter shining bright.
