Charlotte Louise Conkle Holland's Obituary
Charlotte Louise Conkle Holland was born January 17, 1938 to Victor (Vic) and Maggie Brown Conkle in Cleburne County, Alabama and passed away April 5, 2025 at the Cleburne County Nursing Home.
She loved animals, making beautiful floral arrangements, enjoyed cooking and was especially proud of her family. She had worked at Indian Head Mill in Blue Mountain, Alabama, at several hospitals, assisted living facilities and nursing homes throughout her career and owned a small store during her retirement.
She is survived by her daughter, Margie Brooks Burgess, son-in-law, Michael Burgess, granddaughter, Michele Burgess Hughes, grandson-in-law, Chris Hughes. She has three great-granddaughters, Alyssa M. Hughes, Meleah A. Hughes and Jaiden S. Hughes, and a great-great grandson, Cassius A. Macon. She is also survived by her nephews, nieces, and several cousins.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Lee Holland, her parents, Vic and Maggie Conkle, her brother, Joe Bill Conkle and sister-in-law, Joyce Vaughn Conkle.
The family would like to thank the friends and other family members who were a part of Mrs. Holland’s life. Special thanks are given to Dr. Roland Cook, Dr. Igor Bidikov and Dr. Anthony Esposito. Also, special thanks are given to Cleburne County Nursing Home for their love and support, Gentiva Hospice, Cleburne County EMS and the friends at Legacy Village at Jacksonville.
