Dr. Charles E. Price's Obituary
Dr. Charles E. Price, 72, passed away on Thursday, May 4th after a long bout with Parkinson's and dementia. He is survived by his wife Sheila, son Vincent, stepdaughter Erika, and stepson Edward.
Dr. Price was a graduate of Jacksonville High School and went on to receive degrees from Auburn University and the University of Georgia. He received his Undergraduate (1974) and Masters (1978) from Auburn in accounting and qualitative methods respectively and received his PHD from the University of Georgia in accounting in 1987. After working for some "Big 8" accounting firms he returned to his hometown to open an accounting practice. He then returned to his beloved Auburn to teach to round out his career. There he earned the Charles M Taylor full endowed chair and was a graduate level faculty professor of taxation. He had dozens of publications in accounting and business journals and was known across the Auburn campus as a tough but fair professor.
"Chuck" was a passionate outdoorsman who loved camping, cycling, hiking, RV'ing, and building things with his hands. He also loved spending time with his family and their dog Karlee.

There will be a remembrance for Chuck's life scheduled in August for close friends and family.
