Charles Christopher Ledbetter's Obituary
Charles “Chris” Ledbetter, 58, of Anniston, passed away peacefully at his residence on May 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on January 2, 1968, Chris was the beloved son of Diane Arkontaky Ledbetter and Charles Roger Ledbetter.
Chris was a proud graduate of Wellborn High School, Class of 1986, where he built lifelong friendships and a love for athletics. He went on to attend Samford University and Jacksonville State University. Throughout his school years, Chris enjoyed playing football, basketball, and baseball, passions that reflected his competitive spirit and love of teamwork.
Chris dedicated his professional life to Pitney Bowes in the southeast district and later worked at ABS Business Systems Inc. for many years; where he was respected for his leadership, work ethic, and commitment.
Outside of work, Chris found great joy in cheering on Alabama Crimson Tide football and was an avid fan of Alabama football, basketball, and golf. Whether watching a game, spending time with family, or sharing stories and laughter, Chris treasured life’s simple moments and the people he loved most.
Chris is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Ledbetter; his children, Diamond Ledbetter, Alex Ledbetter, Hunter Pointer (Holly), and Ashley Gold (Patrick); his cherished grandchildren, Kyler Gold, Blakeleigh Pointer, and Henry Hudson; his sister, Beth White (Ben); his niece and nephew, Alexis Ledbetter and Nathan White; and his great-nieces and great-nephew, Colton, Allyson, and Adelyn. His family was the center of his world, and his love for them was unwavering.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Diane Arkontaky Ledbetter and Charles Roger Ledbetter; his grandparents, Geraldine and Charles N. Arkontaky, Deloris Ladd, and Walter J. Ledbetter; his uncle, Nick Arkontaky; and his beloved granddaughter, Paisleigh Pointer.
A Celebration of Life honoring Chris will be held on May 30, 2026, at Wellborn High School Adcock Gym from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., with Jeff Brooks officiating.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the ICU, ER, and 4th Floor Oncology Department at Regional Medical Center for the compassionate care shown to Chris, and a special thank you to Nurse Christy with Gentiva Home Health for her kindness, dedication, and support during his journey.
Chris will be remembered for his strength, his devotion to family, his love of sports, and the lasting impact he made on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
