Charles Glenn Hulse's Obituary
Charles G. Hulse, Jr., 43, peacefully passed away on April 28, 2025 at his home in Jacksonville
with his loving family, friends and dog by his side. He was born on December 23, 1981, in
Goshen, NY, the son of C. Glenn Hulse and Connie (Boudreaux) Hulse, both who predeceased
him.
Charles is survived by his wife, Rosemarie Hulse, at home, sister Emily Ansick (William) and their
children Miles and Charleigh (Auburn), paternal grandmother Agnes J. Hulse (Campbell Hall,
NY), aunts Cheryl Hulse (Campbell Hall, NY) and Linda Hulse (Goshen, NY). In addition to his
parents, Charles was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Charles E. Hulse and
maternal grandmother Paula Anne Koppenhoefer.
All of Charles’ best friends refer to him as Redbone, Red, or Bone. Despite being born in New
York and visiting his family there regularly, he very much identified with the "Rednecks" here in
Alabama. He was proud of everything redneck, including going mud riding, working on his many
tractors and other farming equipment, being outdoors with his cows and dogs sun up to
sundown, and proudly wearing his rebel hat and shirts on almost a daily basis.
He was one of the hardest workers (despite his imposing health issues), following in the
footsteps of his mother and father.
Though being a hard-working redneck, Redbone was one of the kindest souls to those he was
closest to. Until the very end, he was thinking about how he could help others, offering
whatever he could manage to help others feel more comfortable. In the words of his best
friend, Byron, "If he liked you, he loved you."
There will be a private celebration of life on his beautiful property to remember Redbone at a
later date.
