Charles Slaton Alexander Jr.'s Obituary
Charles Slaton Alexander Jr., age 68, of Pell City, Alabama, passed away on December 21, 2025 at UAB Hospital following a long illness.
Charles was born on November 13, 1957, to Charles S. Alexander Sr. and Ann Braswell Alexander. He was a graduate of Mountain Brook High School and went on to earn a degree in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University.
Charles spent many years working in the metals industry and retired from Phoenix Metals in 2018. He was a member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church.
He was a man of many interests and simple joys. Charles loved his dogs, spending time fishing, trips to the beach, woodworking projects, tinkering with electrical gadgets, enjoying good food, and listening to music. Those who knew him best will remember him for his curiosity, humor, and appreciation for life’s everyday pleasures.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa Faughn Alexander; daughter, Lindsay Alexander; sisters, Elizabeth (Nick) Nesmith and Linda (Danny) Downing; best friend, Charles Rich; mother-in-law, Dorothy Faughn; sister-in-law, Lori (Tim) Clark; brother-in-law, Stephen Faughn; and extended family including nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Saji Jacob of CVA, Dr. Jason Smith at Complete Health, the nurses and caregivers at UAB Hospital, and Therapy South of Pell City for their compassionate care and support.
