Carolyn Ann Mink's Obituary
Carolyn Ann Mink, of Eastaboga, passed away at her home surrounded by family on February 8th, 2023. A celebration of life service will be held at 11am on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Antioch Baptist church, Bynum, with visitation at 10am.
She is survived by her son, Jay Painter, and his wife, Shelly; grandsons, Logan Painter and Tyler Painter; a sister, Alice Smith; a brother Cecil “Sonny” Hydrick, and his wife, Donna; nieces and a nephew; and her dog, Harley.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Max Mink, and her parents, Cecil Hydrick and Estelle Hydrick Dodd.
Carolyn is retired from the State of Alabama Vocational Rehab. She had a passion for photography. She loved spending time with her grandsons, Diet Dr. Peppers, all things Elvis, fountain pens, and sharing old stories of roller skating at Oxford Lake. She told everyone she met about her dog, Harley. She was a longtime member at Antioch Baptist church, Bynum.
The family would like to give special thanks to her caregivers Geneva Rochester, Rebekah Carpenter, and Leana Behel. The family also appreciates the excellent care given to her by her Compassus Hospice caregivers – Erin Jones, Angie Tidwell, and Emily Jenkins.
Donations may be given in her honor to Antioch Baptist church or the Alzheimer’s Association Alabama chapter.
