Carl Edward "Eddie" Childs' Obituary
Carl Edward Childs (Eddie) 68 of Oxford Alabama passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025. Eddie was a 1974 graduate of Saks High School. He worked at Southern Tool, Magic Chef, and retired from Anniston Army Depot of 22 years.
Eddie was a devoted husband, father, brother, pawpaw and uncle.
He is preceded in death by his mother Mary Poore, grandparents Jim and Irene Carson and Aunt Betty Wilkinson.
Eddie is survived by his wife of 23 years Jeanie, son Eric Childs (Rachel), Stepdaughter Robin Coley(Anthony), Stepson Jason Norris, brother Jerry Childs (Barbara), Sisters Janet Vine and Judy Murphy, Stepfather Danny Poore and many grand children and great grand children, along with many wonderful nieces and nephews.
