Betty M. Perkins' Obituary
Betty M. Perkins, 96, of Sylacauga, Alabama, passed away on April 18, 2025. Born in Chelsea, Alabama, on December 5, 1928, to Lillian and Willis Moore, Betty was known for her love of family, cooking, gardening, and reading. She shared her culinary talents through catering, creating memorable meals for her loved ones. Betty’s beautiful garden was a source of pride, and she enjoyed passing along gardening advice. She was an avid reader and a member of the Reading Belles Book Club.
Betty is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years, Clyde Perkins.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Sylacauga First United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty’s memory may be made to Sylacauga First United Methodist Church or the B.B. Comer Memorial Library.
