Betty "Pat" Cochran's Obituary
A Celebration of Life service for Betty “Pat” Cochran, age 76 years, of Jacksonville, will be Saturday, June 4th, 2022, at 2:00pm at Community Congregational Holiness Church, 60 Wright’s Circle in Jacksonville. The family would like to welcome friends at 1:00pm. Pat was born on February 7, 1946 and entered into her heavenly home on May 28, 2022 at Piedmont Healthcare Center.
Pat is survived by two daughters, Jeannie (Michael) Reaves, Debora McCurry, one son Chris Bivins, and by, too many to name, “chosen kids”; grandchildren, Bambi (Joey) Brown, Jason (Angela) Reaves, Zeek McCurry, Ethan Bivins, Sophie Bivins, Brandon (Heather) Patterson, Leslie (Kris) Burke, and Jesse Patterson; great grandchildren, Mikey Reaves, Gunner Reaves, Zoey Morris, Ashton Morris, Kayson Burke, Rylee Burke, and Keegan McCurry.
She is also survived by sister Mae Waldrop, three sisters-in-heart Cathy Howell, Earnestine Murphy, and Jackie Reed. By brothers, Paul (Shirley) Bonds, Perry (Emma) Bonds, Glen Bonds, Robert (Amanda) Bonds, and by several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by uncle Philip Bonds and several cousins. She was proceeded in death by husbands John Cochran, Ted Patterson, and son Darin Patterson.
Pat was first and foremost a lover of God, a lover of all things related to horses, and all dogs. She was an avid reader of romance novels and a diehard Alabama Fan. She was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County, A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin, she loved every member of her family and her fur babies with all her heart. She was a long-time employee of Springs Industries in Piedmont where she met many lifelong friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of Piedmont Healthcare Center for all they did for “Mrs. Cochran, Betty, Momma, Maw maw, mee maw, Pat”. They went above and beyond their call to not only make Momma but us feel comfortable, during this time they became valued members of our family.
