Betty Jean Campbell Cheek's Obituary
A private memorial service will be held for Betty Jean Campbell Cheek, 83 of Oxford, Alabama at Oxford Memorial Gardens Saturday October 22nd at 11am. Mrs. Cheek passed away October 5th at Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Cheek was a member of El Bethel Christian Assembly of Oxford. She attended Ayers Technical College where she received her GED and clerical certificate. She worked at Wallace Metal Products, Gulf Western Industries, Coldwater Casket Company and Southern Heritage Casket before retiring in 2012.
Betty was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her children and grandchildren, her church and her dogs.
Mrs. Cheek is survived by her Sons Ricky Lynn Cheek (Libby) and Jeffrey Harrison Cheek , her grandchildren Nicholas Brian Cheek (Sarah), Matthew Harrison Cheek (Mai), Jonathon Tyler Cheek (Brooke), Erin Danielle Cheek and her step Granddaughter Jessica Lashelle Medley (John), her great grandchildren Olivia Elizabeth Cheek, Phoebe Mae Cheek, Miles Harrison Cheek, Grant Tyler Cheek, Piers Aric Cheek, Milo Hudson Cheek, Ellie Reese Medley, Maci Lynn Medley, Emmitt Brunton, her sister Rita Jane Smith (Sam) and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Cheek is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Arvel Leo (Elo) Cheek, a son, Arvel Russell Cheek her parents, Roy Sherman Campbell and Emma Dale Campbell and her sister Norma Ann Campbell.
In lieu of flowers we ask that you keep us in your prayers and simply think back on a moment you shared with Betty that made you laugh. Rest along with us in the knowledge she is now in the arms of her heavenly Father.
