My Aunt Bessie was love personified, and there is not a person on earth that neither could, nor would refute that claim. I have many favorite memories with her, but the one I go back to often happened on the morning of my wedding day. Before I set off to go and have my hair done I went by her house and found out that she and my Aunt Dale had cooked breakfast for me. I will never forget sitting at the table while she was standing in the kitchen, preparing food that would be served later at my wedding, talking, laughing mostly, at how nervous I was. She was actually one of the first people to see my wedding dress, not long after I bought it. It was such a special memory that I will carry with me forever. I will never forget how much her face lit up whenever we got an opportunity to FaceTime, I loved to be unable to catch up with her and just hear her voice. I hate that I was unable to see her in person and hug her how she deserved to be hugged. I’m so grateful to know that she is whole and healed and no longer suffering. I will miss her for the rest of my life.
