Benny Eugene Whaley, 60 of Oxford, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021, at RMC in Anniston.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, James Oliver Whaley, William Edward “Bill” Whaley and Jimmy Dale Whaley; sisters, Barbara Ann Whaley Spurling Varnes, Shirley Marie Whaley Caussey, Patricia Nadine Whaley Smith and Margaret Darlene Whaley Ervin; and brother in law, Kenneth Don Reid.
Benny is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Patricia Reid; brothers, Curtis Ray (Betty Lou) Whaley of Florence, SC, Leonard Douglas Whaley of Jacksonville, AL and David (Sue) Whaley of Olanta, SC; sister, Dolores Faye Whaley Hughes of Jacksonville, AL; sisters in law, Marie Whaley of Jacksonville, AL and Debra Hale of Oxford, AL; brother in law, Wayne Reid (Lynn) of Eastaboga, AL; and multiple nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He loved his wife of 28 years and he loved life. He cherished his fur babies, Lil Bit, Boscoe and Bebop.
We will have a Celebration of Life at a later date.
