Becky Roberts Potter's Obituary
Becky Roberts Potter, 76, of Gadsden, Alabama passed away on November 18, 2025 while under the care of hospice. She lived a life marked by faith, family, and a heart for giving.
Becky was born in Gadsden, Alabama October 2, 1949. She was a graduate of Gadsden High School and Jacksonville State University. She was a lifetime member of 12th Street Baptist Church where her grandparents were charter members. She served many years as church clerk and also taught her Sunday School class who were very dear to her. She was a member of Altrusa International of Etowah County and loved working with those special friends serving our community.
Becky had a very special love for her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie C. and Betty Roberts. She is survived by her brothers, John Roberts and Mark Roberts; a sister, Brenda Butram; nephews Scott (Carrie) Roberts, Kyle (Valerie) Roberts, Daniel Roberts, and Bradley (Haley) Roberts; nieces Candi (Matt) Morgan and Connie (Seth) Taylor; along with a host of great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Becky clearly loved her family and friends dearly, constantly, and with a giving spirit, and when scolded for doing too much, they were told "don't take away my joy."
Becky spent many years working at Copeland and Copeland Law Firm. She was especially grateful to her special friends Diane Leonard, Angela Walker, Sally Booth, Irene Maddox and Jennifer Fuller. The family would like to express their appreciation to Amedisys Hospice Care. In lieu of flowers, contributions on her behalf can be made to 12th Street Baptist Church or Altrusa International of Etowah County.
