Barry Keith Gentry's Obituary
Barry Keith Gentry, 63, of Anniston Alabama, passed away peacefully on December 9th, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Travis and Geraldine Gentry; his step-mother, Thelma Gentry; his sister, Gayle Doucet; his brother, Mike Gentry; his former wife, Gina Blankenship; and his step-daughter, Kimberly Abernathy.
He is survived by his loving children, Dixie (Corey) Free and Barry Keith Gentry Jr.; his step-son, Melton Mosley; his sisters, Joye Wade, Patsy Carroll, and Paula (Gary) Hoffman; his cherished grandchildren, Dalton (Serenity) Watts, Kendall Watts, Mason Free, Alliyah Watts, Kenneth Mosley, Novahlynn Mosley, and Rayla Kay Mosley; and his lifelong friends, Roger McElroy and Brenda Trantham.
Barry loved Auburn football and NASCAR and could tell you what driver should have done better from the comfort of his own chair. He enjoyed visiting with family, swapping stories, and keeping everyone on their toes – because with Barry, you truly never knew what might come out of his mouth, but it was guaranteed to make you laugh.
He was known for his big heart, quick wit, and the kind of humor that brought people together. He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and often quoted.
A viewing and visitation service will be held at the Magnolia House at Cremation Services of East Alabama on Saturday, December 13th from 12:00-2:00 PM.
