He began his formal career in the fall of 1983 and graduated mortuary school in 1985. In addition to the Mortuary Science Degree, he has BS Degree in Religious Education, a Master’s Degree in Christian Counseling and an earned PhD in Clinical Christian Counseling with Board Certification in Cognitive Therapy, Death and Grief Therapy, Crisis and Abuse Therapy, Temperament Therapy, Integrated Marriage and Family Therapy, as well as Child and Adolescent Therapy.

He began working in the funeral profession at the age of 17, and in 2011 became an Alabama Licensed Funeral Director. Cody graduated from Jefferson State Community College in 2018 with a degree in Funeral Service Education. He has been a licensed embalmer and cremationist since 2018.

He currently resides in Jacksonville with his wife Salina and daughter Cadence. Christopher has been working in the funeral service industry since April 2020, and graduated from Jefferson State Community College in 2023. He is also the pastor of United Fellowship Baptist Church in Alexandria, AL.
