Papaw (Gene) will be terribly missed. Although separated by distance he was always there for Elena, Julia, and Sofia. Whether it was listening to semi-coherent rambling stories with attention, building a tower of music or holding on for dear life as Sofia took the wheel, Papaw never blinked or took a break. We will always love you Gene.
I fondly remember working with Gene at Old Stapleton Rocky Flats. His positivity, encouragement, and attentive listening were truly remarkable. He often crossed my mind, and his absence will be deeply felt. My heartfelt prayers are with your family during this difficult time.
