November 20, 1950 - July 15, 2020
Robert Wayne Britt was born in Anniston, AL on November 20, 1950 to Robert Leon Britt and Betty Jean Gautney Britt, as the oldest of their two sons. He died on July 15, 2020 after an extended period of illness. Survivors include a daughter, Candace Britt, a son, Shane Britt, a stepdaughter, Pam Edwards, a stepson, Danny Grody, two grandsons, Jonathan McKiddy and Kenny Reaves, a sister-in-law (Big Sister), Julie Britt, a special nephew, Evan Britt, and a niece, Gidget Swanson. Wayne was preceeded in death by his wife of 25 years, Thelma Britt, his brother, Eddie Britt, as well as his parents, Robert and Betty Britt. Wayne was retired from M & H Valve Corporation after several years of faithful service. He was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on August 2, 1968. He enjoyed many service privileges in the Anniston West Congregation that he attended. He served as a ministerial servant, regular pioneer minister, and had the opportunity to host a field service group in his apartment for a time. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, as well as watching cooking shows, being an avid birdwatcher, and nature lover. Wayne had firm faith in God's promise to "make all things new" in an earthly paradise as foretold in Revelation 21: 3-5. He shared these Bible truths with as many people as he could. We look forward to the day when we will see him again, happy and healthy, in God's new world soon to come.
