Michael Wayne Pate

June 13, 1972 - May 26, 2022

Michael Wayne Pate, 49 years old, died on May 26th 2022. Son of Morgan W and Paulette Pate. He attended Munford High School and graduated in 1990. He attended Central Alabama Community College and received his Associate in Science degree Electronics. Michael began working at Food World in Talladega Alabama at 16 years old. Moving up quickly to the position of Produce Manager, Michael worked for many years with Brunos Foods and developed lifelong friendships with his coworkers. Michael went to work with Schwan's Foods in 2006 where he logged thousands of miles going from store to store, making great friends along the way. Those who knew him knew Michael to be talented in all things mechanical. He enjoyed many days under the hood of his 1970 baby blue Camaro SS. He was always ready to help a friend or family member to get back on the road by fixing their car too. Michael also enjoyed cooking and planning unique dishes for the family to be prepared every weekend. Michael's daughter Jennifer was the light of his life. Together they would watch iCarly videos and have frequent trips to the park. Michael enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a wonderful Son, Father, Brother, Nephew and Cousin and will be missed by all. Michael is survived by his parents, Morgan W and Paulette Pate, his daughter Jennifer, his sister Karen and niece Madelyn along with a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. A private family service will be held for Michael. Honorary pallbearers are lifelong friends, Jimmy Owens, Jimmy Bonner and Terry Entrekin. The family wishes to thank everyone for their prayers as we grieve this unimaginable loss.
