A memorial service for Jeremy Brett Murphy, 46, will be held at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 7098 State Highway 9, Heflin, AL at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 5, 2021. Eulogy will be delivered by Darren Post. Brett passed away on November 22, 2021 in Anniston, AL. Brett grew up in Cleburne County where he learned to hunt, fish and appreciate all things outdoors. He later moved to the Oxford/Anniston area where he lived at the time of his death. He is survived by his parents, Bryant (Jennifer) Murphy, Brenda (Wayne) Stedham; his brothers, Greg (Delissa) Murphy, Gary (Tracie) Murphy, Chris (Dara) Murphy, his sister, Samantha (Skyler) Hill; nieces, Kasey (Justin) Lathem, Anna Lee (Caleb) Duke, Merissa Hill; nephews, Coty (Taylor) Murphy, Jordan (Heather) Murphy, Dusty Murphy, Reed Murphy, Rhyatt Hill; great nieces, Aubrey Lathem, Kastin Lathem, John Luke Lathem, Arrow Murphy, Baby Duke and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents O.D. and Velma Hill, Joe Lee and Lilar Murphy, step grandparents, C.M. and Meloree Green, sister-in-law, Denise Murphy. Brett loved the outdoors especially being in the woods with his dogs. He was of the Christian faith. A man with a kind, compassionate heart, he will be missed by many.
